REALTOR, Relocation Specialist, Top Producer & Go
Let's get started - call me NOW!
Family: Married with two children.
Hometown: Atlanta, Ga. I’m an Atlanta native and diehard “intowner.”
Education: I received my Bachelors in Journalism from The University of Georgia, Masters in Human Resources from Georgia State University and am teaching certified by Open University, Britain.
What was your first job? Selling refreshments at the Tara Theater when I was 13 years old.
What is your biggest pet peeve? Bad grammar, resulting in the dumbing down of America. This is pervasive in agent marketing.
What is the wildest thing you have ever done? In which decade? I went on a 6 month trip to Australia, ended up staying a year, and came back reluctantly.
If you could go back in time to see or change something, when would it be and what would you do? I would spend more time with family and be better at planning fun family time.
Something others don’t know about you: I lived in Europe for 4 years, mostly in Antwerp, Belgium where my first daughter was born. I earned my teaching certification in high school English from Britain’s Open University and worked at Antwerp International School. Then I moved back and worked at Atlanta International School for a while. Also, I’m going to be on Real Estate Radio in 2014 and featured in Top Agent Magazine in the near future.
With your busy schedule, how do you make time for family? I don’t make enough time for them. That is the worst thing about letting real estate take over my life.
If I didn’t sell real estate, I’d… Manage real estate.
What made you decide to go into real estate? I bought and managed rental properties for 10 years. Everyone asked my advice about mortgages, insurance and buying houses. It became a matter of when are you going to do it.
What is the best advice you can give your clients? Understand the process and be realistic. Buyers, be clear with where you want to live and what that means to your lifestyle and commute. Sellers, your home just became a product. Stop treating it like a home.
